Thank-you to all who left a kind comment about and pinned the Glow and Grow strategy (see my previous post HERE) for self / peer / teacher reflection and assessment.. I've been using it for about a week now, and it's definitely a keeper. It was a hit with my principal, and during the principal walk-through at my school. So, I decided to make up a freebie poster and assessment sheets to share with you (hopefully I can save you some time if you've decided to give this strategy a try). You've got to use this one at least once with your class - I was so impressed with the insights my students gave me ... maybe they have been listening all along. ;)
Just click on the picture below to grab your own copy. I've included this poster and two assessment sheets - one for self and teacher assessment, and one for self and peer assessment.

Thank-you so much! I'm so glad I found this strategy from Beth's Thinking of Teaching blog. I was searching online at Staples to see if they had boxes of the dual highlighters (yellow on one end and green on the other end). Haven't found them yet, but I'm still looking. :)
DeleteThanks so much!!
